A sneak peek and a shout out

I wanted to give you all a sneek peek at what I have been working on this week. My totally awesome grandmother let me borrow her brand new Hello Kitty cricut cartridge (borrow, HaHa!)
And I have been playing with it every chance I get. These are some of the pieces that I made on Tuesday (took me two hours!) but soon I will share a page I am doing with them (or others, I can't decide!) They turned out really cute, this might be my favorite cricut cartridge of ALL time!!!

And I wanted to give a shout out to the Paper Craft Planet group that I joined called Swappin Scraps! If you haven't heard of it before Paper Craft Planet is like facebook but for crafters. You can make friends, keep up with each other, join groups, participate in challenges and all sorts of stuff! It is definetely a great place to get ideas and be inspired by others all over the world. I encourage you all to check it out and join!

The Hippo Song

Last Wednesday before youth group Kaley and Madison talked Katelyn Grabel into doing their favorite sunday school song with them. I just happened to catch it all on video! (Ha-Ha!)
Check it out, even if you can't understand all of the words, you will have a good laugh watching the motions. I should get Katelyn to write the words down for me so I can share them too because it is really cute!

Our Valentine's Day

We started off our morning by having these cute little heart shaped blueberry muffins for breakfast. I made them with a silicone heart muffin pan that I got at Target in the dollar section for $2.50! They were really yummy, Betty Crocker has the best blueberry muffin mix!
These are the sugar cookies I made. I got this idea from Lisa Bearnson's blog: On hard icing you stamp (with clean rubber letter stamps) the letter with red food coloring. I had to do each letter individually since my icing isn't exactly level.
These are the little cute ones that the girls helped put sprinkles on, their favorite part!
Katelyn and Bethany Grabel came out and babysat for us so we could go out for Valentine's Day! We got to go to the movies and see Pink Panther 2 (very funny)! Then we went to Chili's for dinner and had a very nice time, and we ended with Starbucks.

Project 365 #2

Here are the next couple of layouts. I am sorry, I am trying to figure out the best way to blog these so you can see them but know that they go together.

That is it for January! Hope you enjoyed!!

Project 365 #1

Here are the first couple of layouts that I have done on my Project 365. I finally got a chance to sit down and focus on this and get it caught up.
My first page has our Christmas photo and the title, plus a message to my family about this project and some family resolutions for the year.

The first couple of weeks of layouts I experimented with the products that came with the kit. I have definitely figured out what I like and don't like.

I am really enjoying doing this project! More layouts are coming!

Valentine's Parties

Kaley had her Valentine's party at preschool on Wednesday. She had a lot of fun, got lots of valentines and I love the tissue box that they painted and decorated to hold all of their goodies!
These are the cards that Kaley picked out at Target: Barbie and the diamond castle. They even came with glitter tattoos.
Madison and I created her valentines by taking a picture of her with a heart I made that says Happy Valentine's Day. Daddy printed them out at 2"x2" and I mounted them to red or pink cardstock and cut them out with decorative scissors. Then adhered them to the boxes of sweetheart candies.
Madison wrote on the backs of all of the boxes and did this all on her own. I couldn't believe how incredible her writing is for a kindergartener.
Madison had her party today and had a lot of fun. She got great stuff including little notepads and pencils with hearts all over them.

Ring Around the Brother

When I got done changing the laundry over the other day I came in to find this. Kaley had taken her Twister hopscotch game rings and was tossing them onto Gabriel's head!
Gabriel did not mind, in fact, he loved it! He thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Zachary thought it looked like fun too so he decided to get in on this great game.
At least they were having a lot of fun playing together. Even though it wasn't exactly safe and not what those rings were intended for!

Believe

This was the amazing sight Friday night and Saturday. There were 450 Junior High students in the Anaheim Hilton. It was loud and crazy but a lot of fun. Great worship, great speaker, and Brent the Stunt Guy!
Us girls got together on Friday night and had a pajama party in our room. We laughed really hard, especially at April who decided to do sit ups, and at Bethany who couldn't stop giggling.
It got a little crazy!
Bethany and I got to spend some time together (even though she and Hannah kept me up until 3am) but we had a great time nonetheless.
We survived!!!
